Resume content you submit is sent to third-party AI providers (including Anthropic) to generate audit scores, rewritten bullets, cover letters, and other outputs. These providers process your data only to return results and are contractually bound not to use it for training their models without consent.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Resume content submitted for one-time tool use (audit, cover letter, etc.) is not retained after your session. Saved data (Job Tracker, account profile) is stored in your account and deleted when you close your account.

The Resume-AI Chrome Extension reads job posting content (job title, company name, and job description) from job board websites including LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Lever, Greenhouse, and Workday. This data is used solely to tailor your resume to that specific job posting.
The extension stores your Resume-AI account email and a cached copy of your resume in your browser's local storage for convenience. This data never leaves your device except to communicate with Resume-AI's servers to load your saved resume and process tailoring requests.
Job posting content is not stored on our servers, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose other than tailoring your resume in that session.
